Icon: Entry into Jerusalem

The icon shows Christ riding on a gray donkey towards Jerusalem, with the Apostles walking behind him. A tapestry is put in front of the donkey. The inhabitants of Jerusalem are awaitng Him. The scene is set in an arch-shaped frame.

All vestments are finely executed in bright colours with chrysography. The golden background and border are ornately incised. The borders are intricately decorated in faux cloisonné enamel.
